Home School Community Liason Teacher
What is a HSCL teacher?
We are delighted to have a full time Home School Liaison teacher at our school. Our teachers name is Karen Butler. Karen is an experienced primary school teacher who has worked at Castaheany Educate Together School for the last number of years.
Karen's role as our Home School Community Liaison (HSCL) seeks to promote partnership between parents, teachers and the community. The purpose of this partnership is to enhance pupils’ learning opportunities and to promote their retention in the education system. In addition, the HSCL Scheme places great emphasis on collaboration with the local community.
Karen co-ordinates a large number of initiatives in the school which promotes parents, teacher and community relationships.
