  • Cuir ort do chóta/Cuirigí oraibh bhur gcótaí.      Put on your coat / Put on your coats Tá mo chóta/ hata/scairf orm. I have my coat/hat/scarf on. 
  • Bain díot do chóta/ hata /scairf. Bainigí díbh bhur gcótaí…Take off your coat/hat/scarf. Take of your coats... Tá mo chóta/hata/scairf bainte. I have my coat/hat/scarf off. 
  • Croch suas do chóta / bhur gcótaí. Hang up your coat/your coats.  Tá sé crochta agam. I have it hanging up. 
  • Slán a mhúinteoir/slán a pháistí. Goodbye teacher/ goodbye children.  Bíodh tráthnóna/deireadh seachtaine deas agat/agaibh. Have a nice evening/weekend (singular/plural)

Nath na Seachtaine

This year we have placed an emphasis on pupils using nathanna cainte. These are expressions and phrases we learn as a whole school to ensure the use of Gaeilge Neamhfhoirmuil (informal Irish) in our school.

This is an excellent app, mainly suitable for 2nd Class upwards. It tests your child's Irish ability level at the start and they work away at their own level for 10mins daily.
